Although this year’s EcoBuild has just come to an end, it is definitely worth mentioning the highlights.
For those who aren’t familiar with it, EcoBuild is the world’s largest event for showcasing the future of sustainable design, construction and the built environment. Manufacturers, including many from the plumbing and heating market launch new products and display new environmentally friendly technologies.
This year, it took place in London’s Excel Centre and featured over 1,300 exhibitors. In total there were 100 new product launches, and some wacky sights including a giant pink tap.
Worcester-Bosch showed off their high efficiency boiler range; their acclaimed Worcester Combi Boiler range was also included in the display, together with some of their renewable energy products. These included the Worcester Greensource Heat Pump, Worcester Greenskies Solar and Worcester Greenskies Hot Water Cylinders.
The Biasi stand included a selection of its Biasi Boilers portfolio, plus radiators, hot water cylinders and renewable products like its impressive Biasi Hydras Cylinder.
As well as manufacturers, there were many plumbing and heating suppliers keen to see and learn about the latest in Eco Plumbing, Eco Heating and Eco Building Products.
EcoBuild also included seminars on subjects like ‘Future Energy’, ‘Sustainable Architecture & Design’ and ‘Refurbishing Britain’. There was also a guest appearance by TV’s Professor Brian Cox.
